In Augmented Reality News

March 31, 2023 – Swiss start-up Ostloong Innovations, a provider of AI-powered augmented reality (AR) solutions, has this week unveiled its ‘LYRA’ multifunctional smart AR glasses, which offer augmented reality and artificial intelligence features for office work, city life and traveling.

According to Ostloong, LYRA allows people to navigate the digital world without having to take their attention away from their physical surroundings. The device comes with many features, including an integrated multilingual translator, AI-secretary, GPS, mobile data integration, and music player.

LYRA is able to provide information to the wearer through a digital augmented reality display that is superimposed on the user’s physical environment via the use of an optical waveguide. Controlled by a touch pad on the temple of the device, LYRA is designed to be used in both an office setting, as well as for city navigation, enabling people to stay connected to relevant information in real-time while being focused on their surroundings.

With a sleek and lightweight design, the glasses are designed to be worn throughout the day. Features of the LYRA smart glasses include:

  • A real-time multilingual voice-to-text and text-to-text translator;
  • A digital assistant for taking notes during meetings, with recording and live translate functionality;
  • Integrated GPS for travel and navigation;
  • Integrated mobile data for calls and messages.

Commenting on the product announcement, Amber Gao, CEO of Ostloong Innovations, stated: “We are excited and proud to launch LYRA, which represents a new era in the way we interact with the world around us. With advanced features such as augmented reality, voice recognition and artificial intelligence, our smart AR-glasses offer an unparalleled user experience.”

Ostloong Innovations specializes in innovative near-eye augmented reality and artificial intelligence technologies. The company’s first product was its SIRIUS smart ski goggles, which were announced at CES earlier this year. Ostloong added that its team is working to constantly innovate in the augmented reality sector to establish itself as a market leader.

Pre-sale for Ostloong’s LYRA smart glasses will be available on the company’s website starting in September 2023. For more information on Ostloong Innovations and its AR solutions, click here.
