August 7, 2019 – EON Reality Inc. has today announced the first Interactive Digital Center (IDC) in Japan through a partnership with AVR Japan Co., Ltd.

Located at the Tokyo Tower Media Center, EON Reality expects that the new IDC will help spread Augmented and Virtual Reality (AVR) solutions to new users in Japan. By utilizing the company’s AVR Platform at academic and enterprise institutions, EON Reality states that it aims to further increase Japan’s efficiency when it comes to education, training, and workplace performance.

Dan Lejerskar, Founder of EON Reality, said: “We’re very excited to bring an IDC to Tokyo, as we believe the AVR Platform can help organizations to drastically increase both their knowledge and job production regardless of career. Teaching people not only to learn, train, and perform better using AVR technology but also to build their own AVR applications themselves will improve efficiency for generations to come.”

Beyond the AVR hardware and solutions that EON Reality will offer to students, teachers, entrepreneurs, and other interested parties at the Virtual Showroom of the IDC, the Center will also include a VR Innovation Academy that will teach students how to program, design, and develop AVR applications for realistic uses and clients. EON Reality stated that the skills learned over the fully immersive course will help to set graduates up for careers within the AVR and technology industries, as well as train them to know how to create AVR solutions for businesses regardless of industry.

Commenting on the new IDC, Masayuki Tateishi, President and CEO of AVR Japan, said: “We are excited to open an Interactive Digital Center in the middle of Tokyo. There is a tremendous opportunity for EON Reality’s AVR Platform to provide new innovative solutions for both the education and enterprise market with Classroom 3.0 and Industry 4.0 implementations.“

The VR Innovation Academy’s first session began in 2019 with the complete IDC set to open in early October 2019.
