June 2, 2020 – EON Reality, a provider of augmented and virtual reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, has recently announced that its flagship product, the AVR Platform, is now available for Magic Leap through the Magic Leap World app store.

EON Reality states that it partnered with the spatial computing company several months ago when Magic Leap expanded into the enterprise market. Since then, EON Reality has been working to convert its existing AVR Platform into a powerful and practical experience for Magic Leap users.

According to EON Reality, its key focus has been on bringing the intuitive and flexible nature of its AVR Platform to a device that provides freedom of movement and environmental awareness. Furthermore, the company anticipates that its offering will be “one the leading sources of academic and workplace training materials” on Magic Leap’s platform.

With the recent announcement of the expansion of the AVR Platform’s reach to millions of new potential users through the company’s ‘Global Emergency Initiative’, EON Reality states that its flagship product has already demonstrated its power as a lesson creation and distribution platform through several other devices and modalities. Furthermore, its impact on self-directed learning and training at schools and businesses around the world during the pandemic has brought about one of the biggest increases in content both created and consumed through the AVR Platform in history, according to the company.

Now, EON Reality hopes to further expand that growth by making the production and distribution of training lessons and educational materials for Magic Leap accessible to not only developers, but to managers, educators, employees, and students. As with any other modality of the AVR Platform, all that’s needed to create and share lessons to the new Magic Leap app is a computer or smartphone with a stable internet connection.

Commenting on the announcement, Dan Lejerskar, Founder of EON Reality, said: “We are very excited about finally getting the AVR Platform into the Magic Leap World store because I believe it’s a huge step forward in bringing our best solutions to an even larger audience. Partnering with one of the industry leaders in spatial computing has already benefited us tremendously, and now having the application available natively on their devices will be an even bigger boon for both companies’ existing and prospective clients. We look forward to seeing this partnership continue to flourish.”

The AVR Platform is currently available through Magic Leap World for free and requires the usage of the AVR Platform on another device to best utilize lessons.
