December 20th, 2019 – NexTech AR Solutions has today announced that its 3D augmented reality solution for e-commerce now integrates with Facebook Messenger. The new integration works on desktop computers as well as mobile phones providing a full screen, device agnostic, web-based 3D AR experience on the Messenger platform.

The Messenger customer chat plugin allows NexTech AR to integrate Messenger experiences directly into the website or mobile website of its customers. As a result, NexTech’s customers are now able to offer the same personalized, rich-media experience that users get in Messenger along with the added features of 3D/AR assets to their own end-users.

According to a survey by Statista, when brands were asked “What messaging services do you use regularly?”, 86% of respondents chose Facebook Messenger as their go-to messaging service for engaging with customers. Furthermore, in 2018, 126.3 million mobile phone users accessed Facebook Messenger in the US alone, according to Statista.

“With this integration NexTech AR continues to build momentum as it scales up customer wins and is at the forefront of making AR easy to implement and quickly accessible to everyone,” stated Evan Gappelberg, CEO of NexTech AR. “NexTech’s industry-leading augmented reality e-commerce platform was specifically designed to enhance product engagement, increase add to cart rates and to reduce product returns. Our integration with Facebook Messenger and it’s huge unparalleled ecosystem brings NexTech AR deeper into the e-commerce marketplace and provides an enormous opportunity for more customer wins.”
