December 9, 2019 – RealWear has today announced the upcoming availability of its HMT Release 11 software. The company states that the HMT Release 11 will provide those working in information technology with a foundational level of enterprise-ready security and performance for RealWear’s flagship HMT-1 wearable computer.

This release will be included in all new purchases early next year as well as for thousands of existing customers worldwide as an over-the-air update, free of charge.”
RealWear also states that it has verified Android Enterprise enrollment and general configuration management with several major enterprise mobility management providers. This means that as a result of today’s release, companies will be able to treat RealWear’s wearable devices just like any approved mobile phone or tablet in their enterprise and manage them all from a central location. In addition to RealWear’s fully voice-controlled user interface, HMT Release 11 includes:
- Device Management – A central administrator can now own and manage all RealWear devices in a workforce;
- Light Touch Enrollment – A user or administrator can perform a one-time scan of a QR code to quickly provision an HMT into an enterprise network;
- Multi-User Support – HMT Release 11 sets the foundation for supporting multi-user environments, which RealWear states will be included in coming releases.
RealWear focuses on products that are specifically designed for the connected enterprise workforce to improve job satisfaction, productivity and safety. Its flagship HMT-1 product consists of a ruggedized head-mounted, wearable, Android-class tablet computer that is designed to free a worker’s hands whilst also enhancing situational awareness by delivering vital information on-demand.
