January 21, 2020 – Vuzix Corporation has today announced the commercial availability of a Zoom video conferencing application for the Vuzix M-Series and the Vuzix Blade Smart Glasses.

Zoom is one of the fastest growing cloud video conferencing applications for end-to-end enterprise communications and has more than 66,000 business customers that have at least 10 employees. Vuzix stated that it has received numerous inbound requests from organizations interested in leveraging Zoom in their day-to-day business operations with smart glasses.

“Zoom customers can connect to a remote mentor or support team hands-free when using our M-Series or Vuzix Blade Smart Glasses. The Zoom video conferencing application from Vuzix provides our customers with a version of this application developed specifically for the Vuzix smart glasses that allows them to login, connect and share POV (point-of-view) fed real-time from the camera of Vuzix smart glasses,” said Paul Travers, Vuzix President and Chief Executive Officer. “And like Zoom, the app is not only good for one-to-one support calls but also one-to-many, which allows remote workers to share what they are seeing with all of the users that have joined the meeting simultaneously.”

The Zoom app is available for download on the Vuzix app store for a subscription cost of USD $99 per annum. Compatible Vuzix Smart Glasses include the M300 & M300XL, M400 and Vuzix Blade models.
