Immersive technology provider Kratos awarded $20M DoD-related contract to upgrade maintenance training systems

April 18, 2023 – Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc., a National Security Solutions provider, has recently announced that it has been awarded a contract worth USD $20 million. The contract is related to a tactical platform for the Department of Defense (DoD), and will see Kratos provide a concurrency upgrade to multiple ground tactical platform maintenance training systems. The contract was awarded by what the company stated is a “DoD Prime contractor.”

Kratos develops advanced maintenance and operational training solutions for U.S. and allied forces to enhance warfighter readiness and survivability. The company’s solutions for military simulation and training programs include the application of immersive technologies, such as augmented, virtual and mixed reality (AR/VR/MR), within advanced simulation systems for air, ground, maritime and space domains.

Commenting on the award, Jose Diaz, Sr. Vice President at Kratos Training Solutions, stated: “Over the last 25 years Kratos has supported DoD and allied military customers by designing, developing and delivering advanced maintenance training systems. We are committed to delivering the same high level of quality with these upgrades.”

Kratos was only able to provide the above limited information relating to the contract award, and noted that due to customer, competitive, security-related and other considerations, no additional information could be provided.
