July 30, 2025 – Envisics, a UK-based developer of holographic display technology, has recently announced that it is the exclusive augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD) provider for the 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ.

The VISTIQ and LYRIQ-V are the first two General Motors models to feature Envisics’ GEN-2 AR-HUD technology, which was developed specifically for both vehicles. Production is now underway at GM’s Spring Hill Manufacturing plant in Tennessee.

The deployment marks the latest milestone in an ongoing collaboration between Envisics and General Motors. GM Ventures, the automaker’s investment arm, participated in Envisics’ Series B and C funding rounds in 2018 and 2023. In total, Envisics raised more than USD $100 million in its most recent round.

“Having GM Ventures backing us from early in our formation has been key to realizing the path from research to production,” said Envisics founder and CEO Dr. Jamieson Christmas. To see the Cadillac VISTIQ in production with our AR-HUD is not only gratifying for everyone at Envisics, but also a significant endorsement of our technology.”

The Cadillac VISTIQ electric SUV

The Cadillac VISTIQ is a new luxury three-row electric SUV and will be sold globally, including in the U.S. and Canada. With its launch, Cadillac will offer electric vehicles across all luxury SUV segments, according to the company.

Anirvan Coomer, managing director of GM Ventures, added: “Our collaboration with Envisics is a showcase of GM’s commitment to invest in and partner with tech disrupters at an early stage and help them to improve, expand and scale successfully. The best benefit from our partnership is that we’re now delivering innovative AR technology to Cadillac EV customers.”

Envisics is headquartered in Milton Keynes, UK, where it operates a center of excellence for holographic technologies in automotive and mobility applications. For more information on the company, click here.
