July 29, 2025 – Vancouver-based fitness technology company FORM has recently announced the launch of Smart Swim 2 PRO, the latest version of its augmented reality (AR) swim goggles. Built on FORM’s Smart Swim 2 device released in April 2024, the Smart Swim 2 PRO is designed for swimmers and triathletes and now features lenses made with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Gorilla Glass 3, commonly used in mobile and wearable devices, is now integrated into both internal and external goggle lenses to provide increased durability, scratch resistance, and visual clarity. The lenses also include FORM’s custom optical stack with UPF 50+ protection, which blocks 98% of harmful UV rays, according to the company.
Unlike conventional plastic swim goggles that rely on factory anti-fog coatings, FORM Smart Swim 2 PRO utilizes a user-applied anti-fog solution. The kit includes a 10 mL spray and 10 mL concentrate, which the company stated is enough for over 175 applications.
FORM stated that the new Smart Swim 2 PRO retains the features of its predecessor, including real-time metrics, heart rate tracking, in-goggle guided workouts, and FORM’s virtual coaching system HeadCoach, as well as open-water navigation via SwimStraight.
The device is priced at USD $329 / CAD $449 / GBP £279 / EUR €329 / AUD $529, and is now available in the US and Canada via the company’s website, as well as from select retailers. FORM stated that global availability is expected in early August.
FORM also announced upcoming updates to its Premium subscription platform, available across all generations of its goggles. New features include:
- HeadCoach Plans: Adaptive, personalized swim planning based on user goals and performance (launching in July).
- Smart Set: Live interval and set tracking displayed in-goggle (launching in July).
- HeadCoach Insights: Post-swim feedback and guidance based on performance data that replicates the experience of working with an elite swim coach (launching in September).
FORM Premium costs USD $9.99/month after a one-month trial and includes access to 1,500+ workouts, 45 training plans, and coaching tools.
FORM also recently launched a new non-Premium feature, Streaks, which enables swimmers to track consistency to promote regular swim habits.
