DPVR partners with ArborXR to offer remote management of Virtual Reality headsets

In Virtual Reality News

May 12, 2022 – DPVR, a Shanghai-based company specializing in virtual reality device design and manufacturing, has announced that it has partnered with ArborXR, an enterprise augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) device management and content distribution platform.

DPVR stated that it has chosen to partner with ArborXR in order to address some of the challenges faced when deploying numerous VR headsets across organizations. ArborXR’s platform allows organizations to manage and easily deploy content updates across multiple VR headset devices, even when they are distributed in different locations.

DPVR’s ‘P-Series’ standalone VR headsets can now have ArborXR’s software installed on them, enabling companies to manage a fleet of hundreds, even thousands of VR devices and remotely deploy XR content.

DPVR stated that adding the functionality of ArborXR’s software to its P1 standalone VR headset opens up a number of possibilities, thanks to the different customization options available with DPVR headsets. System integrators, software developers, training companies and government departments have the option to choose specific hardware add-ons for DPVR’s devices, including heart rate monitors, 5G mobile connectivity and eye tracking components. All of these additional device add-ons greatly increase the development potential for organizations, but can still all be easily managed with ArborXR’s software, according to DPVR.

Companies utilizing DPVR’s devices with ArborXR software installed can now benefit from these remote management capabilities. For example, health care providers can deploy standalone VR headsets across hundreds of clinics, schools and educational institutions can have multiple headsets in all their classrooms, and companies can have health and safety or training materials dispersed to their employees around the world within minutes.

“We built ArborXR by carefully listening to our customers and their challenges. We have dedicated ourselves to identifying and solving the primary challenges of scaling an XR fleet: managing devices, deploying content, and creating a focused user experience. We are working toward a future where XR is not a distraction but utilized as a tool to give back time to focus on purposeful work, strengthen relationships and enhance life. We’re excited to work with DPVR to make it easier for organizations to manage headsets and scale their VR fleets,” said ArborXR Co-Founder and CMO, Will Stackable.

“ArborXR is a great partner. Their software takes into account the problems that enterprises confront in real life. Cooperation with ArborXR will greatly help our enterprise customers improve their work efficiency,” said DPVR VP, Derek Liu.

ArborXR’s current clients include Fortune 500 companies, universities, consulting firms and independent software vendors, who use the platform across more than 50 countries.
