February 10, 2026 – Sandbox VR, a provider of location-based virtual reality (VR) experiences, has recently announced the opening of its newest venue in Surrey, BC, Canada. Located in the King George Hub, the site is scheduled to open on February 13 and marks the company’s seventh location in Canada.
The 3,973-square-foot Surrey venue features three private rooms designed for groups of up to six guests. The experience utilizes headsets, haptic vests, and motion sensors to provide full-body immersion, and allows players to see and physically interact with one another within the virtual environment. Upon completing a session, guests receive personalized highlight videos of their experience.
“We are thrilled to continue our expansion across Canada,” said Steve Zhao, CEO and Founder of Sandbox VR. “This new venue reflects the growing demand for immersive entertainment experiences enjoyed with friends, and we’re excited to add Surrey to our growing global footprint.”
Sandbox VR stated that its experiences are built by an in-house team of developers from EA, Sony, and Ubisoft. The new Surrey location will offer ten exclusive immersive titles, including Stranger Things: Catalyst, Rebel Moon: The Descent, Deadwood PHOBIA, Deadwood Valley, Deadwood Mansion, Squid Game Virtuals, Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire, Curse of Davy Jones, Amber Sky 2088, and UFL: Unbound Fighting League.

Sandbox VR currently operates locations in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Vaughan, and two in Montreal, and reports serving nearly 150,000 players monthly across its global footprint. The company is offering a 30% presale discount for the Surrey location using a promotional code through February 12.
