August 13, 2025 – DPVR, a provider of virtual reality (VR) hardware solutions, has announced the launch of its latest enterprise headset, the P1 Max. Built upon the company’s P1 Pro 4K device as its foundation, the P1 Max delivers substantial upgrades in performance, cooling efficiency, and hardware flexibility, according to the company, making it suited for VR arcades, industrial training, education, and other high-demand professional environments.
DPVR stated that key upgrades with the P1 Max include:
- Active Cooling System: The P1 Max features newly designed intake and exhaust vents on both the top and bottom of the device, providing a 50% improvement in thermal efficiency compared to the previous generation.
- Power Input Optimization: A new top-mounted direct power interface supports both standard cables and reinforced steel-sleeved cables, offering reliable long-hour operation even in public, high-use scenarios.
- Qualcomm XR2 Chipset: Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon™ XR2 platform, the device supports 8K video decoding and delivers enhanced performance for complex simulations and immersive content.
- Modular Expansion: The mainboard includes a reserved Type-C expansion port, allowing for the addition of optional modules such as eye tracking, enabling enterprises to tailor the headset to their own specific applications and use cases.
