October 22, 2026 – Basement Bunker Labs, a developer of co-op virtual reality (VR) games for home users and the game studio of in-person VR escape room maker vrCAVE, has recently announced that its first title, Heroes Together VR, is now available in Early Access on Meta Quest 3 and 3S.
Heroes Together VR is a free four-player co-op roguelite dungeon crawler. Players choose from four classes, a Mage, an Archer, a Knight, or a Brawler, and band together to fight through the game’s biomes. Each hero can be customized with a range of colors, props, and accessories, and small creatures are scattered around each dungeon run for players to find.
Adventures begin in Tetherfall, the game’s hangout area, where players can socialize, play minigames, interact with non-player characters (NPCs), manage their progress, and plan their next dungeon run. When ready, parties can dive into a biome filled with monsters, puzzles, and crystals.
According to the studio, the game’s signature feature is the Power Pose, a gesture-based system in which players can get combat benefits for striking a pose. These benefits are enhanced when multiple players pose together, but to learn a new pose a player has to find someone to teach it to them.

“We’ve taken our 10 years of expertise in creating social in-person VR activities with a line of 10+ VR escape rooms and built a social adventure by design,” Basement Bunker Labs stated.
Each time a party starts a run, the game generates a path to the boss room from a selection of the large number of rooms available in the biome. Basement Bunker Labs noted that this path can branch, giving players the choice of a tougher challenge with greater rewards versus playing it safe, and that as players get stronger they may find things start to change in once-familiar areas.
The studio stated that the title will launch with several features that allow one party member to purchase bonus content and share the benefits with the rest of the party.
Basement Bunker Labs added that it is committed to long-term support of the game. After release, the studio will explore adding new features and biomes based on audience feedback, and before release it will be inviting players to help build the game they want to play via both Early Access and Alpha playtest weekends. According to the studio, the game is set for release in late 2026.
