The bigger picture
Goodbye Kansas Group’s planned Saudi Arabian entity forms part of its broader strategy to expand its geographical footprint into international growth markets.
August 26, 2026 – Goodbye Kansas Group, a provider of visual effects (VFX), animation and immersive experiences for the games and entertainment industries, has recently announced that it plans to establish a local legal entity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to the Stockholm-headquartered group, the establishment represents a targeted step to formalize the company’s presence in the region and facilitate closer collaboration with major partners. Goodbye Kansas Group described the move as a natural progression of its growing commercial ties in Saudi Arabia, adding that it reflects the board’s focus on expanding the group’s geographical footprint in key international growth markets.
“Following the formation of our Experiential business unit, establishing a local entity in Saudi Arabia is another deliberate step in our broader growth strategy. We are already working within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing multi-billion-dollar games industry, while seeing significant potential across VFX, animation and immersive, location-based experiences. A formal presence puts us in a stronger position to convert these opportunities into substantial, long-term business,” said Carsten Myhill, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Goodbye Kansas Group.
The company added that the move is intended to facilitate the conversion of an expanding commercial pipeline into active contracts across the Games and Animation, VFX, and Experiential sectors. Goodbye Kansas stated that formalizing its presence will allow it to collaborate more closely with “major partners.” The company did not name any partners, nor did it specify a timeline for establishing the entity.
