January 18, 2023 – Vuzix Corporation, a supplier of smart glasses and augmented reality (AR) technology and products, has this week announced that the company has received additional orders for its Vuzix M400 smart glasses from a Fortune 50 global retailer to support the customer’s warehousing and logistics needs.

According to Vuzix, its smart glasses are now being used in multiple locations by the retail client and their intention is to move forward with a more substantive deployment of smart glasses across an increasing number of company locations over the balance of 2023 and beyond.

“Vuzix and our ISV have been working with this customer for some time in the development of a custom solution for them and we’re excited to have moved well beyond the proof-of-concept stage into a broader rollout and become a strategic tool as part of their supply chain management,” said Paul Travers, President and Chief Executive Officer at Vuzix.

The  CEO also noted that trials, selection and deployment of Vuzix smart glasses within the retail vertical have been steadily expanding and that Vuzix or its software partners are currently engaged with or being evaluated by almost a dozen leading US retailers. Travers added that Vuzix has also been “competitively dominating” the retail vertical to date.
