January 15, 2020Immersive Factory has announced that it has raised funds of EUR €1 million. The company has stated that the fundraising campaign will be aimed at scaling up Immersive Factory’s deployment on a global level to support its customers at all their sites and meet the need to renew training methods on occupational health and safety.

Immersive Factory employs approximately 30 people divided between its administrative and sales headquarters in Paris and its R&D center in Albi, France, which is focused on creating virtual reality training and enhancing the company’s platform used to deliver exercises.

The company has already uploaded to its training platform over 50 exercises that have been developed with the HSE expertise of leading groups in the manufacturing, construction, environment, energy and food & drink industries. The goal of the platform, which is enriched with an average of two or three new exercises every month, is to provide Immersive Factory’s customers with an extensive subscription-based catalog featuring all the major risks facing employees, according to the company.

Olivier Pierre, CEO of Immersive Factory, commented: “Virtual reality allows us to reproduce workplace situations with life-like accuracy. It represents a real asset for improving our customers’ occupational health and safety training. Courses are tailored to both new employees and people who left high school many years ago. The fun approach with our courses can rekindle everyone’s interest in learning, increase their ability to absorb new information and break down any cultural barriers. Virtual reality is a leading-edge technology that can be used to achieve these ambitious teaching goals”.

According to Pierre, since Immersive Factory was founded, the company has endeavored to simplify access to VR-based HSE courses by offering its customers a multilingual catalog that can be downloaded online via the company’s training platform, and used immediately with VR headsets, items which are becoming increasingly easy to deploy thanks to a wider availability of stand-alone devices.

Dave Haynes, Director of Developer Ecosystem for the EMEA region at HTC’s Vive X accelerator, said: “As an early investor in Immersive Factory, we are thrilled to see this new fundraise. This new capital will allow the company to accelerate the growth of their innovative VR training solutions currently being used by global enterprise customers on Vive headsets such as the Vive Pro and Focus Plus”.

Immersive Factory has stated that it works with nearly one hundred key account customers, includings companies such as: Shell, Colas, Siemens, Moët Hennessy, Suez, Volvo, P&G, Engie, Airbus, EDF, Veolia, Saint Gobain, Orano, Eiffage, Bureau Veritas, Air Liquide, and many more. To support its customers when deploying virtual reality across their businesses and to promote its platform, Immersive Factory has set up an international retailer network that already boasts over 40 partners.
